Methodology

Trust is the product feature.

Prospect Signal AU is built to make the source, classification, QA and limitations visible before a buyer spends money.

ABR data source

Core company and business identifiers are derived from the Australian Business Register public bulk dataset. ABR material is used under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 Australia licence, with attribution and source notes carried into product documentation.

ANZSIC classification

Each pack is mapped into useful verticals using ANZSIC-aligned classification, business-name signals, entity metadata and pack-specific keyword rules. Classification is designed for market research and segmentation, not as a legal statement about a business.

QA and verification

Every sale pack includes a field dictionary, methodology notes, responsible-use notes and pack-level QA treatment. We check for obvious exclusion issues, unusable records, entity-type problems and category mismatch before packaging.

Freshness and update schedule

Packs are point-in-time datasets. Each product should be treated as a research snapshot. Refresh dates, checked dates and update notes are disclosed in pack documentation so buyers know what they are working with.

Honest limitations

This is not an opted-in lead list. It does not guarantee sales, replies, deliverability or permission to contact. Some fields are inferred. Some businesses will have changed since the source snapshot. The value is a faster, transparent starting point — not magic.

Why this matters commercially

Good sales teams do not just need more names. They need a defensible market map: who is in the territory, why they fit, what field was inferred, and what needs checking before outreach. That is what Prospect Signal sells.
