Where does Prospect Signal AU source its data? +
All B2B business data is sourced from the Australian Business Register (ABR) public bulk dataset, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 Australia (CC BY 2.5 AU). Mine site data is additionally sourced from Geoscience Australia operating mines registry, state tenement registers across WA, NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, TAS, NT, and ASIC company records.
How many businesses are in the database? +
424,968 classified Australian businesses across 41 industry verticals and all 8 states and territories.
What columns are in each CSV? +
ABN, ACN, legal entity name, trading name, entity type, suburb, LGA, region, state, postcode, ANZSIC code, ANZSIC title, trade category, GST status, years in business, and eight propensity scores: fleet, software/CRM, marketing, equipment, insurance, PPE, recruitment, training.
Is the data legal to use for outreach? +
Yes. Sourced from ABR public dataset under CC BY 2.5 AU. Contains business entity information which is public record. Does not contain personal residential addresses or consumer data. Use subject to Australian Privacy Act and our responsible use policy.

135 unique parent companies including BHP, Rio Tinto, South32, Newmont Corporation, Glencore, Anglo American, Fortescue, Mineral Resources, IGO Limited, Genesis Minerals, Ramelius Resources, Bellevue Gold, and 123 others.

Does the database include GPS coordinates? +
Yes. All 349 rows include verified latitude and longitude from Geoscience Australia. Zero placeholder coordinates.
What is the difference between parent company and operator? +
The parent is the ultimate holding entity (e.g. South32). The operator runs day-to-day operations and is often a subsidiary (e.g. Illawarra Metallurgical Coal for Appin mine NSW). Procurement decisions often sit at parent level — both are included.
How much does the Mining Intelligence Package cost? +
